SERVICE / AUFSCHLAG (2018)
Service /Aufschlag is a racket sport that can be played between three players. Each player uses a tennis racket to strike a hollow rubber ball filled with cocoa over a net and into the opponent's court. The object of the game is to play the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a valid return or until the ball breaks and releases the cocoa. The player who is unable to return the ball will not gain a point, while the opposite player will. Three nets are stretched across the court, dividing it into three equal ends. Three palm trees serve as net posts outside the singles court on each side. A publication printed with the risograph technique and japanese bookbinding accompanies the installation. The publication is a selection of pictures of players hitting a service and people throwing Molotov cocktails. TEXT: SPA / ENG/ GER

BANANA REPUBLIC (2017)
Home is where you find a Banana Tree and a place for you and your family — said my father just before he passed away.

MUME (2017)
In the year 2017, a Mexican man who was trying to cross the border into the USA stumbled upon Stuhlfelden. He remained in the woods and he converted a hunter's cabin into Museo Mexicano (MUME). How the man collected information on the artists is a mystery (the artists are real by the way). Some people say they saw the man in town printing images and information but no one knows for sure. After several years, he disappeared. It is said that he just integrated himself in the Austrian society. The installation/Museum presents documentation of Iván Abreu, Mauricio Alejo, Marcela Armas, Fernando Carabajal, Gilberto Esparza, Ingrid Hernández, Pinto mi raya, Enrique Rashide, Idaid Rodríguez, Jaime Ruiz Otis, Roberto de la Torre, Álvaro Verduzco, Iker Vicente and Iván Villaseñor. Domestic Affairs is a short text about twelve friends who meet one night to hold a farewell party for the main couple, Wall Street Bull and Colonial Matrix of Power, who are moving abroad for work. During the party we discover who they are and their secrets; at the end we find out that the main characters are actually already living abroad and that every Friday, they reenact that last night playing the roles of their dear friends. EL INFIERNO DE UNOS / THE GARDEN OF THE ETERNAL RETURN (2014)
'El infierno de unos' is a piece to enjoy laziness; but it brings also the memory of a tiny and isolated town in Nord Mexico called Sonoyta. The installation is the reconstrution of a personal hell that funtions as a paradise for the visitors. Original music from Sonoyta, literature of gardens, landscapes and bucolic inspiration can be found here while resting. Finally, the installation is accompanied by a small book, which tells another seven personal hells. TEXT: SPA / ENG/ GER

LAS 400 VUELTAS / THE 400 LAPS (2012)
'The 400 Laps' functions as a large installation-scaled book with a digital animation alluding to the French novelist Jean Genet. In this novel, Genet has been falsely impersonated leading to his paranoia and confines to solitude. The cover of the book (writen in reallity by me) falsely attributes the novel to James Elrroy; the American thriller writer who became psychologically unstable after the death of his mother. The figure paces back and forth through a doorway becoming his alter ego and blurring the boundaries between reality and fiction. On the backside of the enlarged book is a small lit shelf with a copy of The 400 Laps / Las 400 vueltas. TEXT: SPA / ENG/ GER

MACEDONIAN PHALANX (2012)
'The Macedonian Phalanx' depicts the Macedonian Army Infantry Formation made famous by Alexander the Great arranged in its formal construction with billboards displaying political rhetoric replacing the original spears. In this version, Alejandro's fight uses the mind and its capacity to organize wordplay as the weapon rather than the force of the spears. TEXT: SPA / ENG/ GER

TEN BOOKS (2012)
'Ten books' reveals how knowledge is subjective. The books were each modified by the symple rule of reintroducing the information according to personal preferences. For example, the book Artifice by Jorge Luis Borges was written by hand and then erased to tell the story of the character Funes, the memoirist who had a great memory but could not think. Also in the installation, the Tractatus Logico-philosophicus is presented, with the content omitted referencing the philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein's notion that the most important part of a book is that which has not yet been written.

CLOWN FALLING DOWN (2006)
